Recruitment Schedule
Please keep the following schedule in mind as you wait to hear about your application:
- January 10, 2012: Service Member Application opens.
- March 25, 2012: Application closes at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
- April 2012: First Round application reviews conducted by FoodCorps.
- Early May 2012: All candidates are notified of their application status. We will let you know whether or not you’ve been selected to move on to the Second Round. If selected for a Second Round review, your application will be sent to ONE Host Site / state for consideration.
- May 2012: If you have been selected for the Second Round, your Host Site or one or more of the Service Sites in that state may contact you directly if they would like to schedule an interview. Interviews will continue through the end of May. Note: Even if you are selected for the Second Round, you may not be selected for an interview.
- Early June 2012: FoodCorps will be notified of our federal funding levels in early June. At this point we will offer positions to applicants selected by our Host and Service Sites as their first choices. If a candidate declines an offer, we will move on to candidate on the wait list. Once all of the positions in a given state are filled we will notify the remaining candidates of their status.
