Tell Reps: Don’t cut SNAP; Vote NO on Farm Bill
Tell your Representative to vote “NO” on a farm bill that hurts the nutrition and health of low-income families.
The House is currently in the thick of a debate on the Farm Bill, an important piece of federal legislation that has an immense impact on our food system— from how our food is grown and how our land is conserved to nutrition education and assistance.
Unfortunately, the bill that the House is debating is deeply flawed. By proposing a cut of by $17 billion over the next 10 years to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Congress would leave behind millions of Americans, over half of whom live in households with children, and cut hundreds of thousands of kids off from school meals. In addition, the bill would also undermine the evidence-based nutrition standards for meals, foods, and beverages sold in schools.
Please contact your representatives now and tell them to vote against this harmful bill!
