Policy Landscape and Our Work
While there have been efforts to expand access to free school meals, Oklahoma has not passed a permanent statewide school meals for all bill. Most recently, SB 28 aims to amend Oklahoma state law to require school districts to provide free meals to children from households with annual incomes at or below 250% of the federal poverty level during the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years.
