Fayette County Public Schools is not seeking new Corps Members for the 2025-2026 term.
Widely considered the Horse Capital of the World, Fayette County located in the heart of central Kentucky’s Bluegrass region and is the county seat of Lexington. The spirit of collaboration in this community has forged robust links between local food access and culinary innovation, and partnerships with food-focused organizations such as FoodChain, SeedLeaf, Geomancer Permaculture, and now FoodCorps support the district’s goal of modeling a more resilient food system.
A member of the Green Schools National Network and School Sustainability Leadership Network, Fayette County Public Schools has been awarded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools program every year since 2012.
