Policy Landscape and Our Work

Missouri does not currently provide free school meals to all students. Several bills introduced in 2026 proposed creating a statewide program that would reimburse participating schools for serving free breakfast and lunch to every student.

Those proposals did not pass before the legislative session ended. Missouri therefore has no active School Meals for All proposal at this time.
