Policy Landscape and Our Work

Alaska does not currently have an active School Meals for All proposal. HB 12 was introduced in 2025 as a universal breakfast and lunch bill, but a 2026 committee substitute narrowed it to cover meal costs for students who qualify for reduced-price meals. The revised bill remains under consideration in the House Finance Committee.
