Policy Landscape and Our Work
Florida has not yet successfully passed legislation to provide universal free school meals to all students statewide. While bills aimed at achieving this were introduced in both the Florida Senate (SB 74) and House (HB 119) for the 2025 legislative session, they did not pass. While some schools may offer free meals due to federal programs like the Community Eligibility Provision, this is not a statewide guarantee and may be subject to change based on funding and eligibility criteria.
