Policy Landscape and Our Work
Idaho is among the few states that have not taken any legislative action to provide school meals for all students. Idaho does participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program, which offer free or reduced-price meals to eligible students based on household income. Additionally, some schools in under-resourced areas participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows them to offer free meals to all students.
