Policy Landscape and Our Work

Kansas does not have school meals for all legislation. While there have been discussions and proposals, the Kansas State Board of Education voted against including universal free school meals in their 2025 legislative priorities. The state is, however, still exploring ways to expand programs like the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which provides free meals in under-resourced schools.
