DC Bilingual Public Charter School is a learning community that ensures high academic achievement for all students in both Spanish and English, develops leadership, and values all cultures. To support this mission, DC Bilingual has a strong Department of Food and Wellness that combines food service with broader holistic wellness efforts.

In a typical week, a FoodCorps member at DC Bilingual might: support food distribution at a Family Food Market, teach in the Kitchen Learning Lab, and host after school garden classes. DC Bilingual is looking for corps members who are native-Spanish speakers. Applicants who have proven to be successful at DC Bilingual are friendly, outgoing, flexible, collaborators, good communicators and passionate.

FoodCorps DC Metro members join a close-knit cohort serving BIMPOC communities in our nation’s capital. In addition to free museums, a thriving urban agriculture network, and a backyard that includes Rock Creek Park, DC Metro corps members have access to DC’s metro and bus system and bike-friendly streets as options to ease the daily commute.
