FoodCorps is excited to share that Dr. Robert S. Harvey, President and Co-CEO of the organization, has been selected as a 2024 Aspen Ideas Health Fellow.
Aspen Ideas: Health is a global community of more than 1,000 leaders in public health, research, business, policy, and more who gather each year to connect, learn from one another, and innovate together. Health Fellows are selected each year for their accomplishments and their ability to transform ideas into action.
“I am humbled and honored to have been selected as an Aspen Ideas Health Fellow,” said Dr. Harvey. “I’m eager to work alongside other visionary thinkers and innovative doers in service of a healthier, more just world—and to bring FoodCorps’ vision for food justice and child well-being to the table.”
The Health Fellows will convene at the Aspen Ideas: Health conference this June to share their transformative ideas around health, medicine, and science. We look forward to hearing more about the work of this incredible group—congratulations, Dr. Harvey!
About FoodCorps
FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish children’s health, education, and sense of belonging so that every child, in every school, experiences the joy and power of food. Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide children with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every child’s health and well-being. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school.
