We’re thrilled to welcome these industry leaders to FoodCorps.

PORTLAND, Ore. (October 1, 2026) — FoodCorps has announced three new appointments to its Board of Directors: Stacy Dean, Maya Feller, and Jeffrey W. Ubben. Effective today, they will aid in setting FoodCorps’ approach to programs and policy work, its growth strategy, and its ambitions for nationwide progress in child well-being.

We’re grateful that the movement for child well-being counts Stacy, Maya, and Jeff among its champions.”
Stacy Dean is the former Deputy Under Secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services, where she oversaw federal nutrition programs, including the school meals 30 million children count on every day. A seasoned food policy leader with more than 30 years of government and non-profit experience, Dean now leads the Global Food Institute at The George Washington University.
Maya Feller, MS, RD, CDN, is the founder of Maya Feller Nutrition and the author of Eating from Our Roots: 80+ Healthy Home-Cooked Favorites from Cultures Around the World. Feller shares her approachable, food-based solutions with millions of people via regular speaking engagements, writing, her social platforms, and as a national nutrition expert on Good Morning America. She is an Everyday Health Medical Review Expert, on the advisory board for SHAPE and Parents, as well as appearing on the TODAY Show, Tamron Hall, and in The New York Times, among others.
Jeffrey W. Ubben is an investor, philanthropist, and business leader who has served on more than 20 public company boards. Ubben is the founder of ValueAct Capital in 2000, serving as CEO/CIO until 2017, and Chairman from 2017-2020. He formerly served as Chair of the National Board of the Posse Foundation, and currently serves on the boards of Duke University, The Nature Conservancy’s NatureVest, the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation, and the World Wildlife Fund.
